| From
Munich, via Barcelona to the World is Bavarazzis

Polka, Folk, Caribo & Oriental influences
will surprise you with an eclectic shape of a unique sound. In their own
words Bavarazzi call it Acoustic Crossover... |

2008/09 the Munich(Southern Germany)-based Duo Bavarazzi announce the launch of their international debut album Reggae Muchacha, expected to be released in late summer on the bands own label Los Octopussytos (after a successfull first album for the German speaking countries in 2007). |

The album title is taken
from the lyrics of the Bavarazzi-track Reggae Ragazza
featuring the voice of Zoe (this tremendously gifted lady worked
already with Bob Marleys son Ky-Mani, the marvelous
Anthony B. and the German artist Gentleman a.o.!).
|
||
Showing quite balladesque Reggae-tunes, Reggae Ragazza couples a smooth old-style groove with a tiny touch of Soul in Zoes voice tricky and so beautyful! Other tracks like Maria Barcelona, a fresh&freaky up-tempo Folk-Polka, guarantee to get any crowd dancing! Some songs of the album are already done, other ideas and melodies are being born these days, maybe while you are reading this... One thing is for sure: when the album will be done there is a track for everyones taste! |
|||
| Zoe is not the only artist being invited to enlarge the artistic universe of Bavarazzi. Yuriy Gurzhy, a Berlin based musician (Russendisko, RotFront, Shtetl Superstars) with strong roots in the Ucraine, | |||
sings two Bavarazzi songs in Russian language (Znak and Lonely on the Beach) and provides shouts and backings for another two tracks (Go Go Go & Cuba Salutskàja). Beware of hidden-tracks featuring Yuriy! Other features are planned and tbc. |

Bavarazzi-singer and music-mastermind
Facio solely produced the entire album. And the results perfectly
capture the natural flow of the Bavarazzi-sound that comes to Facios
mind easily whenever this guy is on a transcendental trip to Barcelona

- the place to be for him since many years and hopefully soon the Duos second home. The other half of the Duo, Jens JP, plays the accordeon on Reggae Muchacha and provides as a co-author a lot of lyrics and some backing vocals. Using mainly the songwriters poetic voice of Facio accompanied by himself on an acoustic guitar, plus accordeon & pure percussion, Bavarazzi combine sounds and genres melting into a totally new one. |
|||
| The
music is finally fusing into a new era of handmade Folk-Pop, revealing
at once a strong character of something really new. A genuine aura you maybe
know from the golden times of Low-Fi, nowadays still kept e.g. in recordings of Manu Chao who is a big idol for Bavarazzi in any sense. |

The album Reggae
Muchacha shows a wealth of talent in songwriting, arranging,
mixing and scoring instrumentals in an unbelievable diversity of tracks
that follow one invisible artistic line straight to your heart. Its
time for Acoustic Crossover.

| Oh, by the way: the song Brennero from our very first album will appear on the 2disc sampler Bar Berlin published by the London-based label Nascente with world wide distribution in May 2008 looking forward! | |||
